Melin Tregwynt is a delightful white washed woolen mill located in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast, West Wales. The family owned Mill has been weaving the finest quality cloth for over 100 years, fusing traditional methods with contemporary design and execution.
Melin Tregwynt fabrics are simple in spirit, satisfying in quality and timeless in design. In 2017 we collaborated with the mill — immersing ourselves in the warp and weft of textile design to create a vibrant bespoke blanket for The Cambrian Hotel in Adelboden, Switzerland.
The 'Cambrian Cross' is a contemporary design that fuses the Swiss cross with graphical elements of a typical Welsh double-cloth pattern — a neat acknowledgement to the hotel's Swiss/Welsh ownership and to the colours of the meadows, forests and rock faces of the Bernese Oberland.
